Working with us
How long does a set of drawings take?
Standard delivery is 3–4 business days. Our rush service delivers within 24 hours for a small surcharge. For complex projects, we confirm the timeline in your quote.
How many revisions are included?
Unlimited, at no extra cost. If the USPTO or another office raises a drawing objection, we make the corrections free of charge.
Do you guarantee patent office compliance?
Every set is drawn to the rules of the office you are filing with (USPTO, EPO, PCT and others) and checked against them three times before delivery.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send any material.
Design patents
How many views does a design patent need?
Usually seven: front, rear, left, right, top, bottom and a perspective view. We advise on extra views when the design needs them.
What is the difference between solid and broken lines?
Solid lines show the design you are claiming. Broken lines show environmental structure or features you are not claiming.
Can you work from a physical prototype?
Yes. We draw from photographs, 3D scans, CAD models or the product itself.
Do you offer colour drawings?
Most design patents use black and white line drawings, but we can provide colour drawings when the office accepts them.

Hand sketches, photographs, videos, prototypes, CAD files, 3D models, reference documents or a written description.
Can you work from a CAD model?
Yes. We work from STEP, IGES and SolidWorks files and other common 3D formats.
Which file formats do you deliver?
PDF and TIFF for filing, plus PNG, JPEG, DWG, Adobe Illustrator and Visio source files on request.
Pricing
How much does a drawing cost?
Utility and design drawings are $35 per drawing. Unusually large or complex figures are priced in your quote before work starts.
How does rush delivery work?
Rush delivery within 24 hours carries a small surcharge and is available for a limited number of drawings. We confirm it before we start.
Do revisions cost extra?
No. Revisions are unlimited and free, before filing and after an office action.
